The energy & natural resources sector is currently one of the most dynamic and perspective areas of economic development in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. While existing capacities need overhaul and expansion, investors are attracted to green-field opportunities in both traditional and clean sources. BDK is a market leader in the field, having advised on the most prominent transactions in the region, such as the BOT coal-fueled thermal-power plant project in Stanari, Repubika Srspka (Bosnia & Herzegovina), the BOT hydro-power project on the Morača river in Montenegro and a wind-farm concession in Montenegro. We have also advised the Montenegrin TSO on its JV with Italian Terna for the construction of an undersea interconnection between the two countries. We remain fully and constantly informed on the ever-changing regulatory environment, able to advise clients on important regulatory issues across the jurisdictions of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
